You Would Look Good In That...

Here are some of my new favorite pieces for Springtime.  I just adore feathers and aqua is my favorite color so this simple necklace suites me perfectly.

I also love sacred hearts!

How about pretty aqua beads with a vintage pendant?

Here is Phoebe with her best friend, Jingle.  They enjoy going on doggie adventures together.

We are heating up again in Los Angeles.
The sun was so bright that Phoebe needed her shades yesterday.

Happy Springtime!

Cheers,
Holly

A Love for Feathers

I've always loved feathers.  Lately I've been enjoying playing with feather charms and creating fun Bohemian style necklaces.

This one has sweet little vintage drop pearls.

Layering them is fun!

Phoebe has been helping me with my blog post and Pinterest pinning.  She's a good little helper.

Hope you're all having a marvelous month of March.

Cheers,
Holly

Always Waiting for the Rain

They say it never rains in Southern California.  This is true.  Even with promises of of El Nino... it didn't happen.  Not yet anyway, but we think we are in the clear.

Phoebe and I are disappointed because we have this beautiful raincoat with detachable rain bonnet from Push Pushi and no place to wear it.

So we believe that doggie photo shoots are the next best thing!

Here is Phoebe modeling her delightful pink poncho!.

The workmanship of this piece is so beautiful.

We enjoyed St. Patty's Day too.  Here is Phoebe in an altered ladies sweater... now much more wearable as doggie fashion. I love how she smiles for the camera.

We celebrated the luck of the Irish together at an outdoor restaurant.  Nothing better than being able to bring your pooch with you!

I wore some of my handmade jewelry and my "lucky" shirt.

Thanks for stopping by!

Doggie Duds

I've been sewing since I was a kid.  I love it!  And Phoebe loves being my little model.  This little outfit was super easy and no pattern needed.

Pretty flowers and a vintage hanky with cute dotted fabric makes a super cute dress for Phoebe. It even comes with a little headband (she wasn't really feeling the headband-vibe for the photo shoot).

I transformed my cashmere sweater into a darling Phoebe-sized sweater.  She feels very glamorous in it and thinks the bow is extra cute.

It even has a matching hat.

This dog loves wearing fashionable clothes (like her mama).

Also, a former sweater of mine turned into a sweet little one for Miss PG.

Thank you for visiting.  Be sure and leave a comment!

Happy New Year!

We are getting rain in LA and we are very happy about that!

Phoebe doesn't mind the rain at all.

Just like me, she feels invigorated!

She sure enjoyed Christmastime.  We had a lot of fun.

We tired different non-toxic paint colors on her paws and ears over the holidays.  She likes trying new things, just like her mama.

Happy days to you!

Who Wouldn't Love a Glass of Champagne at the Press of a Button?

Happy Holidays!

This adorable and clever idea is not solely mine. I wish it were! I first saw some ornate frames housing the words "Press for Champagne" similar on Pinterest.  Gotta love Pinterest! This is my version with a real vintage doorbell.

I hope you're all having a lovely month of December.  I sure am.  I am mad for this weather and feel invigorated every time I step outside!

Cheers!

Events to Share

I was fortunate to have 4 different events where I shared my jewelry.  November was a busy month! This one was in Culver City, CA.

Here I am in beautiful Long Beach, CA at The Liberty.

A snap of some of my pieces.

My dear friend Winnie owns The Lam Gallery and I was thrilled to be able to see these amazing little tea dolls up close and personal.  The artist is Vanessa Y. Chow and these little masterpieces are her "tea warriors."  Visit the gallery here.

I was also thrilled to be able to attend the "On The Road with Gloria Steinem" event! Melissa McCarthy interviewed her, although it was more of a discussion with these two amazing souls.  It was a very special night.

Here is a snap of the wall in the theater.

I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful month of December.  I'm ready for Christmas.  Are you!

Cheers!

Happy Fall?

Well not quite... at least not in Los Angeles.  We are expecting 97 this Friday and Saturday. My favorite boots are still waiting to be worn! Will I get to wear them in November?

I had a little open house for my friends and their friends last Saturday.  It's a wonderful way for me to share my jewelry and obtain some happy buyers!

Here I am at my jewelry table which consists of a vast array of different designs, all unique and original.

Me and my glamour dog.

Grandmother's brooch... this one stays with me!
A vintage bracelet I purchased back in the 80's transformed into a choker style necklace.

And a little collection of pieces and parts to make a sparkly wrist adornment.

Hope you're all enjoying the month of October!

I'm excited about Halloween this year as I've come up with the BEST idea!  Can't wait to share!

Cheers!

A Few Spreads from My Tall Skinny Visual Journal

I haven't looked at this in years.  It's 8 years old.  I still love journaling and collaging on paper and in books so much.  Here are a few spreads that I thought were fun and worth sharing again.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
